Library of the future and librians

I think librarians help you find information you need. If you go to the library and can’t acquire the information you need a librarian can help you find it. Also any research you might be having problem with, you can get help from a librarian. The rest of the time when they are not helping anybody librarians spend it by organizing the library. It sure is to get messy with all the people coming in anytime they want, taking out what ever stuff they need, and putting it out of order. Librarian also have to put the return books back on the shelf and get the on hold items ready for the next person. When everything is done and in order I believe they read books or research things for their own entertainment.
The thing I think is really cool if librarians start doing it is, if you are doing a research, they should find out what research you are doing from your teacher so that when you ask for help they have everything ready. J
I think the future library will be filled with computers. In a world where technological advancement is increasing rapidly computers will most likely be the next books. Anything you can find in a book now is on the internet. A little research is all you need. I am not saying it will just be computers. I think there still will be books, especially fictions, because it’s just better to read fiction on a book than on a computer. Also books that just got published will probably not be on the internet for a long time and if you are trying to write about them or if the information you need is in there you need to purchase the book or get it from the library. Therefore, I think the future library will have a lot of computers, as well as books but not as many as the present library have.

When I go to college I hope to study biology because I want to grow up and become a doctor. I haven’t exactly figured out what kind of a doctor I want to be yet but I know for sure I am going to the medical field. I love the feeling of helping people. I have always found wonder in the human body. It is very interesting to see how our system works and to study the human anatomy.

The Pre-collegiate program is helping me achieve my goal because it is based on a health career, and it is most specifically designed for students who want to pursue a business on the medical field. In the Pre-collegiate program we take class that will help us succeed in college. We even get college credit for English 1010 presumed we passed them. The credit I received from this program goes into my high school transcript as well. It is especially good if you are going to medical field because three of the classes are health related: They consist of Health disparities- a study of health differentiation between different ethnicity. Human anatomy- the study of the human body system, and Nursing- a study of what exactly nurse’s do and the role they play. We also write our college essay and learn to apply to colleges for our senior seminar class.

This summer program is not only beneficial in a lot of ways but it is also free and its helping me achieve my goal in so many ways.
